wonderland invites"I dreamt up this shoot after seeing an explosion of colourful styling inspiration on my Pinterest and Instagram
feeds, and I wanted to turn my hand to something a little out of my comfort zone...all the cotton candy
colours...lilacs, pinks, and peachy tones. It worked well in terms of timing, as I had been working with Lizzie from
Imagine Bridal Lounge on her relaunch, and the vibe fit with her new boutique space perfectly!
I set up a moodboard and began pulling together the team. I have worked with most of this team before, on previous shoots, and so I have a really great time relaying my ideas and understanding the contribution each supplier wanted to make. The girls from
Stemhaus were immediately sold on the gypsophila arbour idea, and expanded their hunt to find all the perfect toned flowers for the table runner, oasis arrangements and bouquet.
The tablescape was a main point of focus on the day, and Kelly (Found Collective) and I worked with furniture
from Modern Party, alongside smaller details from Stone & Co, Bombus, @candleco_australia and of
course, my stationery - Wonderland Invites. The final result was super pretty, abundant and textural, which was needed against the
backdrop of the white tabletop.
We utilised Kelly’s square arbour and a gorgeous mix of pink velvet and white modern chairs from Modern Party
for the ceremony, and the Stemhaus girls brought their amazing white swing for us to utilise as a whimsical
feature. 
Our models (a real life wedding photography/videography team) Jaz & Alejandro were so keen to see
what life was like on the other side of the camera, that they were so excited to act as bride and groom for the day.
Jaz looked like an ethereal dream in gowns from
Imagine Bridal Lounge and hair/makeup by
Lucy Loves Beauty, and Ale
looked fab in his gorgeous suits from
Peter Shearer. Their day of getting married was made more authentic with
the amazing
Jacqui Leopardi acting as celebrant.
Dana from
Will & Co captured the day beautifully, with her amazing direction and editing style. Her shots of the
cake by
Belletorte are some of my faves, alongside the images of the beautiful
Grain & Vesper drinks caravan.
