When Bull Rush is new it takes form with a dark green stem and tan/brown flower or seed, but over time changes with its natural environment into a sun-bleached pastel pink, nude, ivory and light tan seed.

The colour differentiation provided the perfect base that reflected Stonebarn's rustic venue offering of dark brown tones, with lots of greenery, so by adding the lighter tones it really brought the natural settings to life.

HIGHLIGHTS
Watching the whole concept come to life on the day, from the reception design, to the flower installation and then make up, hair and dress. Also developing long standing vendor relationships with like-minded individual’s, especially females that embrace each other’s creativity and work together as a whole to produce one amazing project.
CHALLENGES
There are always challenges on any event day that require problem-solvings. As the creative director, I find the biggest challenge is working against time on the shoot day, so I always plan in detail with a call sheet to ensure each vendor involved receives his/her individual component & then the combined finish product.
"I wanted to design a setting that allowed future clients to be inspired to think ‘out of the box’ when viewing Stonebarn and instantly defaulting to Rustic theming elements as that is the common styling design and to showcase that this was all achieved with many local vendors to the South West region. I am a big believer of supporting locals when hosting ‘destination weddings.
My favourite detail of the day was watching Lara Rose Botanical Stylist and her team create the most breath-taking reception and ceremony installations with 100% creative freedom and mainly organically sourced items.' Kim explains.
