WHY WE LOVE PEPPERS CREEK

Marked by imposing 3-metre-high Indian elephant doors, the entrance to Peppers Creek hints at a century-old magnificence that awaits visitors and guests. It is iconic and truly breathtaking, revered as a visual masterpiece that makes a beautiful backdrop to event photography.

Inside Peppers Creek is just as arresting. The venue is home to a region-renowned Cellar Door and charming Tuscan-style barrel room that features 20-ft high gabled ceilings and the largest fireplace in the Hunter Valley. The main dining room is also thoughtful and immaculate, fitted with timber beams, draped festoon lighting, gilded mirrors, and old-world candelabras. Original sandstone blocks from the old Grace Bros store in historic Broadway, Sydney, effortlessly tie this rustic opulence aesthetic together.

And the best part? You don’t have to travel to relax and unwind after your event, with three cosy cottages conveniently nestled into the village. They can comfortably accommodate up to 26 people and are ideal for intimate parties.

On a personal level, our hearts are tied to Peppers Creek because it was one of the very first venues we started working with all those years ago. It’s one of the main reasons Jade decided to focus her flower business Jade McIntosh Flowers & Styling + White Roses Styling exclusively on weddings too. 

It’s an absolute honour to have Ken’s blessing to take over and collaborate with his loyal and hardworking team – many of whom have been at the venue for 15+ years, like head chef Lee, who makes everything from scratch (absolutely no tins or bottles here!) and consciously reuses wines and other local ingredients in the kitchen.
