Having always been inspired by the romance of a wedding at a French chateaux, Zinette headed in search of a beautiful venue in Australia that could inspire that French charm for couples to marry at as a result of the pandemic and being unable to have their dream wedding or elopement in some European country. I found a few venues that would fit the romantic French charm idea and Terrara House in Nowra perfectly matched the vision perfectly.

highlights.

I loved every minute producing these stunning images to capture the hearts of couples around Australia looking for inspiration to create their own Romantic Provence wedding right here in Australia. It all started with a vision and moodboard created by myself and a fellow photographer. Thereafter we began sourcing the perfect team of vendors. My goal was for everyone to get lost in the impeccably styled details of the Provence-inspired wedding.

challenges.

On a wedding day there are set timelines and a certain flow to the day. Which can get hectic, but I have always been good at time management. During the shoot there were so many amazing details and beautiful locations around the venue to capture that several times we got caught up on one spot and we had to remind ourselves that there are so many other locations to utilise. It really helped to keep in mind how many locations we have to cover and prioritise the ones that are most important to us first.

the venue.

The Terrara House property was first owned in 1836 French tea trader and merchant and it has a lot of history to offer. Due to its French history the house seems to reflect the perfect French Provence charm we dreamt of for our shoot. It is well located, and I knew it would be an inspiration to a lot of couples that are looking to create a European inspired wedding. Nestled ‘where the land meets the sea’ Terrara House is situated on the south bank of the Shoalhaven river. The Estate boasts with seventeen acres and a variety of different ceremony and receptions spots, a breathtaking tree lined driveway as well as a beautifull wellness spa.

favourite detail.

I absolutely adored the florals and décor inspired by soft French blue and romantic pink tones. The variety of smaller floral arrangements are perfect for all weddings as it does not block the view and allows for good visibility across the table to ensure guests will be able to have their meaningful conversations and enjoy the wedding.

The florist did an amazing job to show how to use flowers that is affordable by using blooms that is in season and readily available. Along with the picturesque venue and the sumptuous blooms from Palette de Flores in layers of pretty pastel blues and pinks the shoot turned out amazing and better than what we could have imagined.

favourite moment.

My favourite part of the day would be when Delaney & Harrison, the gorgeous couple danced in the hedge garden maize. It felt like a moment that was all about them. This beautiful garden labyrinth may have been designed to make you feel like you are in a secret garden somewhere in the French countryside.
