The inspiration for ‘Welcome To The Chateau’ came straight from the venue. I was invited to have a little sneaky peak as they hadn’t had any weddings yet and I just got a total European Olive vibe as soon as I walked in. So calming and so different, I really wanted to showcase that through the shoot.

highlights.

We definitely had the A-team onboard for this shoot, everything flowed so well, everyone chipped in and everyone had a blast! After the last 18months that we have had it was honestly just so refreshing to be able to get creative with all of my faves and create some amazing content.

challenges.
Weather, always weather! It’s so hard with a photoshoot because all of the vendors donate their time to create epic content.. But suppliers like florists & cake makers actually have to invest money and create something that has a short life span. With photoshoots I try and make the call whether they will go ahead at least 4 days prior, which hopefully means that no money has been outlayed. With this shoot the weather still looked a bit unpredictable, we decided to just go with it and get it done. Even on the day we were threatened with storms all around, however, the weather gods were on our side and it just created the most epic moody lighting for us to play with! PHEW!

venue.
Chateau Nesbit is owned by the incredible Marcia from Gold Coast Farmhouse, I’ve worked many weddings at her beautiful venue and I was so honoured when I was asked to bring together the first shoot for the venue!

favourite detail.
Cakeeeee (Drool), honestly Samantha from Hello Little Crumb absolutely blew all of our minds with the masterpieces she created. I love vendors that you can just pass an inspo board to and they just nail every. single. part.

They also tasted heavenly, I hid in my cupboard that night hiding from my children so I didn’t have to share... haha

favourite moment.
At the end of the shoot, Tanya (Sugared Style) and myself sat down with a cocktail and reminisced on the best shoot ever. So lucky to call this a job and so lucky to have the industry friends that we do xx
