A DAY FOR LOVE

With most of our team having a French/European influence we wanted to bring a less is more feel for the Dunes and showcase the stunning work of Anita Turner at Vinka Design with her beautiful Daytona Gown and Tuille fly elegantly in the wind and have the collaborators work stand out. Simplicite at its best and to create a table setting with an ocean colour palette flow fluidly into the back drop of the Island came from wanting to use a palette of blues, greens and Golds.

highlights.

Emma the Marketing Manager at Tangalooma was amazing and worked hard to ensure the smooth running of our day, she was able to organise all the logisitics and run sheet with me prior to the day and they treated us like VIP's and even had us all Dolphin feeding at Sunrise. We hired a 4wd Bus up to the Dunes which was definately a memorable bumpy ride.

The highlights for me personally was how beautiful the setting was at the resort and having 4 areas for weddings offered a good choice of images from the Wheelhouse deck, the beach, the ceremony lawns and the Marquees area. We do have reels of all these.

Then the trip to the Dunes was a treatand to see and feel the vastness and stillness up there was breath taking. It created not just the perfect images but was a wonderful sense of peace and calm whilst working.

challenges.

We didn't have any issues on the day, infact quite the opposite. Everything turned out just as we had imagined if not better. However we had to change the date twice before due to weather conditions and timings to ensure we could get the perfect lighting and Golden Hour on the Sand Dunes. So for it to be perfect on the day was a huge sigh of relief and we had so much fun.

One other Challenge was that oour male model was actually poorly but thankfully did not let us down like a true professional and managed to get through the day, which was a long but amazing day.

shoot location.

We decided to invite Tangalooma to collaborate as we could see they were advertising weddings and knew we could provide them amazing images, I was inspired by their beach settings and the Dunes was an added bonus.

favourite detail.

I loved it when Jessica our model walked the Dunes like she was on a catwalk as she looked so graceful and when she did the high kick in her dancing. Jessica is in fact a dancer from the Moulin Rouge in Paris itself, so to see her perform in front of us in a calm and beautiful way, definately gave us the goosebumps and we felt so privilaged to of worked with her. And Dimitri who was actually a little poorly was a true professional and got through the day like a champ looking very fine in his classic Tux from Urbanna.
