Best friends for 3 years, Lizelle and Steven met through friends taking a swim at Redcliffe, Queensland. On their 2 year anniversary, Steven booked in their favourite log cabin in Bellthorpe and proposed as soon as they arrived!

venue. We fell in love with the scenery of rolling hills and country air at Henzell's Chapel. The chapel was built by an Irish stonemason using traditional methods which we loved.

inspiration. A little fairytale, woodlands vibe with warm winter fabrics and colour pallette.

favourite moment. Walking down the hill with confetti flying everywhere after we had signed the papers – and when Luna the owl brought the rings.

favourite detail. The wedding parties’ suits from Reuben F. Scarf in Chermside and dresses from Shein, floral arrangements by my darling parents from Northside Flower Markets and the location.

Suit + dress shopping. The wonderful ladies at Luv Bridal Sunshine coast made me feel comfortable and listened to what I wanted in a dress. Fell in love with one straight away! Stevens suit was beautifully fitted and tailored by Reuben F. Scarf at Chermside.

what does marriage mean to you? It’s a show of solidarity in a relationship, it asks for acknowledgement and commitment to stay with your best friend through everything that life throws at you. And it’s a beautiful, joyful day to start it all off.

classic story. Embarrassing moment of both of us using all of our bodyweight to try and cut through the cardboard divider in the wedding cake. We had no clue why it wasn’t cutting!
