"Marriage means adventure to us. We look forward to the future and creating the ‘new’ Williams empire filled with lanky, clumsy, sleepy, obscure laughing, amazing family. We can’t wait to continue to see the world together, appreciate the simple things like good food, good music and good times. And continue unconditionally loving each other every day."

how did the two of you meet? We first met at work. Boring I know… Emily walked into the staff room sporting a pair of pants that seductively hugged her lower half, distracting Adam from his busy work regime. Emily saw Adam, the ultimate ‘cool guy’ sitting in the corner with his dreadlocks and headphones trying to strategically ignore all other staff members. Their conversation started strictly professional until they realised they couldn’t hide in their professional workplace any longer and their true identities were destined to be revealed.
the proposal: Emily + Adam were together for 5 years when it was during one holiday break they headed down the South Coast to one of their favourite spots, Gerringong, in the van. After a few days of Adam surfing, Emily reading and far too many beers as always, they packed a picnic and went up to the lookout. It was here that Adam cracked a bottle of red wine and played some French music - the same song that Em walked down the aisle to, like they used to in Paris pretending they were back in the city of love.
As they ate cheese and laughed as always, Adam pulled a polaroid photo from his pocket of them under the Eiffel tower and dropped to his knee. Neither can remember what was said as they were both (Emily more so) crying their little eyes out. Emily said yes and Adam placed the ring on her finger. Emily thought, ‘man he did well’. After sitting in love and shock for a while they headed back down to the van. They went to the local pub and drank a number of celebratory glasses of champagne on the house.
The next day, Adam kept the surprises coming, packing Em a lovely dress and telling her to get ready as they were going out for lunch. Mind you she hadn’t had a shower in a while and there was some serious dry shampoo hair happening. They went out to a winery and had one of the best meals they have ever had.
On the way home Em was just dying to call everyone and anyone, especially her mum and maids. Adam said to hold out as it would be so much better in person. On the way to Em’s parents house, Adam seemed to be driving at a snails pace and Em was not loving his inner chiller at this point. When they finally arrived Adam had organised that our family and friends were already there to celebrate!
what led you to decide on the stables of somersby for your Wedding venue? We found it on Instagram and went and checked it out. Automatically we fell in love with the venue. It was close to home so all of our family could attend, and the owners were amazing. It was the first and only venue we looked at.
what was the inspiration behind your Wedding theme? We wanted it to be elegant but relaxed. Adam chose his green suits first and the rest of the wedding colour palette seemed to just fall into place from here.
most favourite moment: The ceremony was a huge highlight. Our celebrate Lauren Teys was amazing to work with and made our ceremony so personal. Can’t forget cocktail hour and the dance floor of course - the band killed it.

favourite detail: Our flowers by babushka girl and cake by Jessie Janson were both phenomenal.
how was your dress/suit shopping experience overall? Suits happened online one night early in our engagement and after heading to three dress shops Em found the ‘one’ at Marry Me Bridal Mossman. The bridesmaid’s dresses also followed, Em has always loved the brand Bec and Bridge and the idea of her bridesmaids feeling comfortable and wearing something they loved.
any classic stories you want to share from the day? We introduced our bridal party during the ceremony, and they were completely blind sighted. The girls were in tears and the boys got ripped on, as to be expected. It was an amazing touch. We also surprised our beautiful mums and had them sign our marriage certificate which was a special moment.
advice: Make sure the wedding reflects you as a couple. There are no rules, just do what you love! Also, on the wedding day, take 5 minutes away from the party without anyone else and just enjoy the moment!

any stand out vendors for the day that went above and beyond: They were all incredible, but our florist Babushka Girl and photographer Kendall Tyne were so amazing. The flowers were like a dream and better than I could have ever imagined. Kendall’s easy going but organised nature made for the most fantastic photos. She understood that we were dying to get back to the party and worked her magic so quickly. For two people who are rather awkward and camera-shy Kendall helped us and was beyond amazing!
