At the time of coming up with a concept for this styled wedding inspiration set at Summerland Camels the new Aladdin movie was all the hype. "We had access to camels and we figured it was meant to be!" Janette of Olive Rose Weddings & Events shares.
highlights: The highlight of the day would have been seeing how perfect our bride and groom muses looked in their traditional attire as well as keeping a close eye on our camel Evie as she was very interested in eating the bouquet.
challenges + how you overcame them: The one challenge that we had to overcome on the day was the wind. Putting up a gazebo and the arbour in the wind proved to be very time consuming. Taking a lot longer to setup than scheduled. Instead of a free standing arbour we had to strap the arbour to a near by fence in the camel paddock so that it wouldn’t blow away. Not ideal but we definitely made it work. Thankfully the wind died down just as we started to shoot and it all came together perfectly.

what led you to decide on this shoot location? Summer Land Camels had the dry dessert vibe we were looking for as well as over 700 camels to choose from. We only needed one but wow what a selection.
favourite detail: My favourite detail of the day was the beautiful arbour that Emunah Events created by hand especially for our shoot. Although due to the wind the team couldn’t create the look they originally envisioned I believe it turned out amazingly. My team is the best.
