Hannah from @the.created.life shared her vision with best friend Chloe from Sullivan & Co Photography to put together a really rad Lords of Dogtown elopement shoot. "Hannah is an amazing stylist, as well as interior designer who has designed her own tiny home from scratch with the help of her brother who built it! She's basically the coolest person ever!" Chloe shares.
Quote from Hannah: "This shoot was inspired by the documentary Lord’s of Dogtown, and a little of Almost Famous, barefoot lovers rebelliously eloping in a backyard skatebowl surrounded by 70’s retro vibes. Hip fashion mixed with wild adventurous love!"Han and Chloe have very similar taste and style, they fit like a glove when it comes to all things creative! "We lean toward the minimalist movement and believe less is more, on most occasions. We love simple style, and being able to convey to the couples out there that you can have a beautiful, memorable and fun wedding that is simple, stress free and cost affective. - it doesn't have to be an event you have to go in debt over!" They have also wanted to showcase alternative styled weddings to show that weddings don't have to fit any certain mould and can be totally catered to ones individual style and personal preferences.
what led you to decide on this shoot location? Hannah's original vision was to shoot an elopement in an empty cement swimming pool that skaters use as a halfpipe however with limited access Han connected with some friends who had a rad setup right in their backyard which worked just as perfectly!
favourite detail: Oh gosh this is a tough one because they're were so many things I loved, from the contrast of pretty flowers to the blokes drinking emu export to the funky 70's style fashion and Rory's rock n rock no shirt denim look, but if I had to choose I loooved the florals by Freek and furniture set-up/styling by Project Blak.
I have to add that my favourite detail of the entire shoot once it was completed was the videography by James from Freo Fox. I liked it even over my own images because it gave such a full picture of the vision we were aiming for - theres nothing that communicates mood, tone and atmosphere like music, and moving imagery! James hit the ball outta the park on this one!

favourite moment:
- Using the goat, Glen Stephanie, as a page boy haha
- Shooting the indoors intimate portraits right at the very end of the day
- watching everything come together, makeup, hair
- oh! Watching Eden arrange and design her florals, she's a bloody genius!
- Cassie and Rory were incredible! Such a beautiful connection, it made my job so easy even though they have never done a styled shoot before!
