Before getting engaged after officially dating for two years, Nevena & Matt built their house together. "Matt and I first met in December 2011 through sheer coincidence. I was attending a friend’s 21st Birthday, where Matt gate crashed as the photographers plus one. That night we talked a lot! Where I went, he followed. Fast forward 8 years and here we are!" Nevena tells.
"two families coming together as one to carry on tradition and create new ones"

Matt's plan was to propose to Nevena the first night they stayed in their new home, unfortunately things did not go to plan. "He'd prepared a beautiful night and hoped to propose during dinner, I however was in a bad mood and he postponed.
Fast forward to Christmas day he woke me with a pile of presents, we sat on our bed opening gifts, mentally preparing ourselves for a day of feasting. As we were getting ready, he took my hand and walked me over to our bed. “You know I love you right”? Smiling at me while he handed me a small parcel with scrunched wrapping paper.
I began opening the present whilst watching his eyes widen. I saw the very distinct logo of the Jeweller my sister works for on the ribbon, I paused. Confused I opened the box to find it empty. Before I even got the chance to look up at him and question whether this was a joke, he was down on one knee holding a ring box with the most incredible ring inside.
Parts of our conversation were a blur as excitement filled my whole body. He asked would I marry him as he took the ring out of the box and put it on my finger.

Marriage to me means that ‘Legally you can't run away from me!’ Haha I joke. Marriage means, commitment a promise that no matter what the circumstances, you will always be there for your partner. It means two families coming together as one to carry on tradition and create new ones.
FAVOURITE MOMENT
My father waking me down the aisle as I watched the man of my dreams standing in front of me smiling from ear to ear.
ADVICE
Go with your choices, don’t look at what other people are doing. Make decisions that you know will make you happy as this is your special day. Also make time for each other, create a schedule where you can leave some stress free time before the big day for just the two of you.
