HANNAH X RYAN

Hannah and Ryan met through mutual friends & crossed paths at a Race Day. A couple of days later, Ryan contacted Hannah to go see a movie together. At the time, Ryan was heading overseas in three months with his mates so things didn’t get too serious straight away but they kept in contact long distance. Eight months later, he was back in the country and their relationship picked up and grew stronger from there.

"We were together for six years before heading to Agnes Waters for the day, starting at 1770 for a paddleboard. For the first time EVER, dolphins were swimming and jumping close by and the weather was absolutely perfect. Ryan decided this was the time so he went back in to get “beers” out of the car for after our paddleboard.

We paddled back out, he got into the water and within a couple of minutes he whipped out the ring that was tied to the drawstring on his boardies.. He asked and I said, “Are you serious?” followed by a “YES”. Thankfully he didn’t drop the ring in the ocean and it made it safely onto my finger. Beers were shared and many photos were taken. We finished up with lunch at our favourite Agnes Water café ‘1770 Getaway’ then headed home to celebrate with family." Hannah tells.

Your most favourite moments of the day: Ryan’s favourite moments were watching me walk down the aisle and when we entered the reception as husband and wife with our bridal party.

My favourite moments were walking down the aisle with my dad to be hand in hand with Ryan and listening to all the beautiful speeches, especially my sisters. She had organised a close family friend to sing to myself and Ryan.

The day was filled with laughter, happy tears and smiles that hurt your face. We both agree that the dance floor was one very entertaining part of our day.

The rustic/industrial style with a hint of Boho is within our home and a style we love. Agnes Water being one of our favourite towns for getaways and the town where Ryan proposed, we had always talked about how we would love to get married there.

Any classic stories you want to share from the day? "Oh, there were many stories but the missing iPad was the running joke for the remainder of the evening.

The iPad was meant to be at the venue that morning ready to play all the important songs however, it was nowhere to be seen. I had turned up in such good timing and very impressed with myself only to see one of our groomsmen pacing around the carpark looking for the iPad in cars.

We had to wait but being late was making me more nervous and worried so I solved the problem by giving my phone which luckily had the same playlists. The iPad was found back at our hired house sitting in a woollies bag."

What advice would you offer to other couples planning a Wedding? "Remember it is your day and it is about you, don’t allow outside pressures to influence the day. Enjoy the experience and the planning leading up to your special day. Sit down with your planning book, drinks and nibbles or go get fish and chips and sit by the water to talk about the wedding together.

We absolutely loved the lead up, from the excitement of meeting with vendors to completing DIY projects. It is very important that you are both involved."

I promise to continue listening to and supporting your long list of dreams; no matter how many you come up with daily. May we always live, learn and love together as life takes us on paths that may go in all types of directions. You are my greatest adventure. I’m so excited to spend the rest of my days with you, my mate.
