Cedar Creek Lodges offered the picture perfect destination for a Wedding in the Gold Coast Hinterland. Offering a dreamy rainforest background, Bronwyn from Love Notes Australia collaborates with a wonderful team to bring you this elegant styled inspiration shoot, encouraging vendors to come out from behind their brand and show their lovely faces once again in her signature "Behind the Brands" portraits feature.

What was the inspiration behind this shoot?
FIRE. Being it was our first official ‘Behind the Brand’ shoot I thought it was fitting for what ignites our passion.

What are some of the highlights you had during the shoot process:
This was such an amazing day! From dressing the super talented Ulyana Aster in a yet to be launched gown by Emmy Mae Bridal to having the girls feedback during our wrap up, saying it was the most fun and relaxed shoot they had ever worked on. Also the opportunity to stay onsite in a rain forest villa at Cedar Creek Lodges was the perfect way to wind down from the day.

What challenges have you faced so far and how did you overcome them? Being in the events industry there is always a challenge!! Personally, I find a ‘solution’ only way of thinking opposed to worrying is the best way to overcome a challenge. The biggest challenge I have found with Behind the Brand shoots is encouraging vendors to come out from behind their brand and show their lovely faces. It’s so important to stand proud of your brand and Brides today are interested to see the person as well as the product.

When did you know that your passion for Weddings would become your career? I started early within the professional Wedding industry (over 20 years ago eeeek) back when the Japanese Weddings were HUGE and my career path just kind of evolved from purchasing Wedding gowns for the Japanese market, to the start of a successful styling business which I later sold to pursue my vision for Love Notes where I now work with over 50 designers Australia wide.

What led you to decide on this venue for your shoot location? From the tropical rainforest backdrop to crystal clear running creeks, open fires and natural rustic backdrops creating a vast range of photo opportunities - The outdoor Amphitheatre at Cedar Creek Lodges was the perfect location for this shoot.

What was your favourite detail about the shoot day? That’s a tough one, however I would have to say the natural light in the afternoon shining through the Amphitheatre was pretty magical. Alyce from Cloud Catcher Studio has captured to perfection.

Favourite moments from the day: Meeting some of the faces for the first time and being able to enjoy a relaxed wine with the ladies whilst enjoying that gorgeous cheese platter put together for us by Cedar Creek Lodges.
