"Organising a vibrant, city styled elopement was the creative challenge I was seeking and a step outside my 'usual' - I love all the incredible colours and unique elements! Now I'm craving more bright coloured, city weddings with loved up couples and puffy sleeved dresses...." shares The Aisle Photographer Amy Philp.

highlights

There was no floral recipe in mind, stylist and florist Emily attended a local flower farm (Stemz Flower Farm) and was inspired by what was blooming - walking the rows the day prior to the shoot. She said this would be one of her all time favourite Bouquets, vibrant, whimsical but still edgy.

venue/shoot location
This styled shoot location gave contrast to our vibrant pops of colour. The focus was to create the Wedding (or in this case Elopement) your way. A high bar set for an intimate dinner with a select number of those most important to you allowed for a completely styled and decorated space.

The Black and Grey accents pair beautifully with the coloured candles and whimsical seasonal blooms.

Emily - Having a rooftop venue that showcased the heritage architecture of Toowoomba's business centre was a non-negotiable for me. I was beyond thrilled when George Bank's Rooftop Bar & Bistro said yes! Their event space was perfect - urban textures, city views, the art deco bar and the stunning Chandelier.

The Stationery suite completely complemented the vibrant colour palette extending the 'vibe' right through to the drinks menu! A signature cocktail for your Wedding Day? Yes please!

favourite detail

Tyneale - I loved working to the colour brief whilst designing Megan's makeup look! I chose a bold lip matching the magenta pink blooms (I had Emily send me a quick photo of the bloom palette so I could be sure my selection was perfect!) Fresh and luminious base with a neutral eye and feature lash. It gave Megan's beautiful smile the perfect framing for her elopement celebration.

Cassie - What is more fun than a sleek low pony? A polished style giving elegance and textured wave to bounce out the pony. I love this style - so effortless and an easy transition between veil and no veil.

Grace - The focus on the video was to bring across the energy and vibrancy of the inner city location with upbeat music and fast paced transitions. Specifically incorporating close up shots of the fun pops of colour.

Moon and Pearl Bridal - We were so excited when approached for this dreamy and eclective shoot because it is so 'us'! I saw the colour palette and knew exactly which dress to pull. The above knee Reception Dress of Melbourne Designers Oui the Label (which was new instore). Statement sleeves and flattering V neck silhouette - an otherwise minimal dress that becomes your 'dance the night away' dress!

Katrina - Elopement cakes are so much fun! We chose a fun little heart shaped cake design that was fabulous and gilded in edible gold leaf. Keeping with the relaxed vibe instead of the traditional 'cake cut' our couple opted to 'delve' into the moment together. Inside the cake was a dark chocolate cake with milk ganache, salted chocolate buttercream, fresh raspberries and toasted hazelnuts.
