shoot concept.
The inspiration behind the shoot was a french editorial vibe. We were lucky to have an amazing professional model, Avalon. She has such a European look, we chose a dress that would suit her style and play on the vibe.
highlights.
I wanted to keep the shoot simple. When there are a lot of vendors involved on a shoot there’s pressure to make sure you capture a setlist of shots for the vendors. For this shoot I wanted to keep it simple enough to be able to really enjoy the time, instead of ticking shots off a list. On the day there were only three of us on site, goofing around. It was a good time.
shoot location.
Once I’d decided on the European vibe I knew I wanted to shoot at Goldn Studio. Bonnie & Char have created such a beautiful space there, it’s so dreamy and calming. The rendered walls and flowing curtains screams romance.
favourite detail.
Definitely shooting at Goldn. I can’t imagine what the shoot would have turned out like if we had of shot elsewhere.
favourite moment.
Is it bad if I say trying the dress on and wearing it around my loungeroom when I got home?
