The Whimsy We’re Lusting Over Whilst We Wait Indoors

Allow yourself to get lost in the heavenly gardens and old-world architecture of this dreamy bridal shoot with its wistfully styled aesthetic.

Prior to the new-norm of isolation, social distancing and quarantine coming into play globally, a group of talented wedding vendors collaborated on a playfully quaint and sublimely sophisticated styled shoot.

Set on the grounds of the historic Gabbinbar Homestead in Toowoomba, Queensland, the beautiful gardens and peaceful ambience became the set for the whimsy and lust-filled wedding masterpiece. Shannon of Ivy and Bleu Events styled the shoot; working her magic on the elements to create a scene akin to childhood fairytales.

The day was captured digitally and on film by fine art wedding photographer Lauren of Lauren Olivia Photography, and captured on video by Joel of Wander and Follow Images.

Playing with different hues in soft pastel tones and intensities, Sarah of Gwen Floral Co. combined her wildly romantic styling with inspiration from nature. Playing with a combination of different textures, the details of natural light white and champagne with deep pink, purples and green blooms adorned the aisle, table setting and ballroom.

Bridal model and dancer, Dana Paige Coles was styled in gowns from Brisbane boutique White Lily Couture, who houses one of Queensland’s largest wedding dress collections. She dashed and twirled to her heart’s content around the regal grounds dressed in swathes of billowing tulle, beads and fine lace.

Stephanie Goldsworthy Makeup applied a soft and peachy glow to accentuate Dana’s natural beauty. Feminine and blushed skin with a soft eye to add natural definition, the makeup was classically glowing. This was complimented by ethereal romance - cascading and loose hair styles by Sarah Neill Hair. Personality was added to the soft and natural glam with veils, hair accessories and statement earrings.
