wedding guests: originally 100 but it ended up just us and josh's parents due to covid.

Leah + Josh's love story started after they locked eyes over a beer pong table in the Snowy Mountains back in 2014. Together for four years when Josh proposed while the two watched a sunrise at their local beach. "I was so excited (& still waking up) so I forgot to say yes!" Leah tells.

What led you to decide on your Wedding venue? We are lucky enough to call this beautiful place home .. especially in a time when we couldn’t travel. We got married at the beach and then had our own mini ceremony with our version of all the formalities in our backyard.

Favourite moments: We had our family and bridal parties on Zoom and that was so special to us.. everyone was so present and it really felt they were there with us. It was strange looking back at the pics after and our guests weren’t in them.. Also we couldn’t deal with how cute our fur baby was!

Favourite detail: The florals by Lola's Wildflowers - my flower crown was divine!

How was your dress/suit shopping experience overall? I went to the Grace Loves Lace showroom on the Gold Coast and it was beautiful!... I knew as soon as I tried my dress on it was the one and I bought it the same day! Josh was super relaxed when it came to his outfit.. we had him and the boys sorted in an hour of shopping.

What does marriage mean to you? Marriage to us is building your dream life with your team mate.

Any classic stories you want to share from the day? Josh tanning me at 10pm the night before our wedding was definitely not something I thought would have been happening on our wedding eve!

Advice: Write a list when you are getting started of what is a important for you both for your wedding day. Whatever happens on the day just go with it.. at the end of the day you will be married to your best friend and it doesn’t get sweeter then that.

Stand out vendor? We didn’t know what a ‘legals only ceremony’ meant for us until a few days before the wedding. (I only decided to wear my wedding dress the day before) We are so lucky to have so many talented local vendors we got to work with who pulled off everything on short notice and under changing restrictions. Shout out to our epic celebrant Kate who made us so comfortable in the and our photographer Jerome who captured us and our day perfectly.
