wonderland invites
The inspiration behind the shoot was to bring a touch of a relaxed, boho, Byron Bay vibe to the Adelaide Hills. From the
Spell dress that the celebrant wore, to the florals, boho props and styling, we hope you enjoy the relaxed, laid-back air captured by
Emma Faith Photography.
shoot hightlights: I have recently moved to Adelaide from the UK, so the shoot was just an absolute joy for me to coordinate - I made some lovely friends, and was able to learn more about the way suppliers work here in Adelaide. It was honestly such a pleasure to work with all of the suppliers, who each worked exceedingly hard on the day. The day itself was inspirational. It was great to see just how relaxed and in the moment everyone was; everyone operating in their element and sharing a laugh or two with each other.
challenges: It rained. And rained. Thankfully we had plenty of cover for respite, but we did get wet on a couple of occasions. We just pushed on through and shot everything under cover when the rain came down, and bundled back outside as soon as it stopped. Everything else went off without a hitch, and we had plenty of time to create unplanned moments just off the cuff too.
what led you to decide on this venue/shoot location? We really wanted a venue with cover as we were shooting in winter…we wanted a boho, rustic venue which had charm.
Marybank Farm was perfect…from the old buildings to the cactus garden and their gorgeous verandah. Brie and her family were so accommodating and down to earth, and were happy for us to roam about the land shooting as we went.
favourite detail: Do I have to choose? Oh it was all so beautiful…from the bell tent to the chill out area with the natural cane peacock chairs, to the amazing ceremony arbour which was built especially for this shoot and became a real focal point. The team also adored the accessories and gowns that Annie wore, and I agree…they brought everything to life.
favourite moment: It was such a joy to see everyone be creatively free. I love to see artisans pour their heart into a challenge and craft beautiful art.
