When picturing a queensland country wedding, Kooroomba Lavender Farm immediately comes to mind of Brisbane based Twig & Fawn Photographer - Kate Bailey. With its rich red soils and incredible undulating hill views of the sun setting. "The first time I visited Kooroomba I knew I was experiencing something truly special and when you see these photos you will see why. Picking a favorite element from this day is pretty much impossible for me because how can I rank lush bouquets, cathedral veils, and a white tux coat?" Katie shares.

Shoot highlights:
Working with our amazing vendors. We all had a single picture as our inspiration, and we worked fluidly, creating within our own expertise to create the shoot story as it unfolded.
Did you face any challenges on the day? If so, how did you overcome them?
Wind. Everything blew away on us constantly, Tennesse’s hair was flying. We had to just go with it and overcome it by simply photographing the wind.
What led you to decide on this venue/shoot location?
We love lavender and open spaces!

Chris of Avideas styled this stunning inspiration shoot incorporating my vision classic elegance with a touch of whimsy was a dream to photograph. Lovers of all things classic, get ready to be inspired.
Starting with an outdoor tablescape with a lavender views inside the chapel! Embellished with gold and pink hues, it perfected complimented the wonderful hand created calligraphy, by Little North Company (from Canada).
Picking a favourite is hard, because the florals from My Little Flower Shoppe, were to die for! They created the pieces by imagining themselves in a field of flowers, the glistening of the sun passing through the open petals. They created the bouquet with textured foliages and fluffy white cotton to compliment the soft blush garen roses and lavender fields. A match made in heaven as the bride and groom dance in the sunlight.

The Karen Willis Holmes Faith and Celine gowns. How could you go past Tennesse’s fiery red hair, styled flawlessly by Bella Brides? Then we had Bree from the Cake Who Ate Paris and her amazing two tier embellished cake, with edible gold leaf and cascading hand made sugar flowers. It was filled with the most delicious rose water syrup and blackberry butter cream.
Twig and Fawn photographed half the shoot on 120mm film and this was developed by Streets (colour film) and herself (black and white film).
We ended the day with French Earl Grey Gin, hand made by The Canberra Distillery.
