"Matt and I met on the rodeo road, he asked for a lift to a rodeo, so I said sure "Jump in!" We had been together for just under 2 years before he proposed and I thought the proposal was perfect. I had always wanted to take my horses for a ride along the beach. We had just been to a new years eve rodeo and on the way home Matt said we should call in to the beach on the way home, so we did. Matt proposed at the beach on New Year’s Day," Kylie tells of her proposal.
"We decide on Melrose station because its absolutely beautiful and so close to home, and yet very central for our guests coming to our big day. The inspiration behind our wedding theme would be our lifestyle, we love our relaxed, country lifestyle.
I feel like the whole day was just unreal! I loved the photo shoot, we had amazing people in our bridal party, never a dull moment and we were all so full of fun and laughter. I loved having my horses there & having an amazing photographer to catch these moments was fantastic.
Our favourite details of the day were everyone having a great time, there was laughter everywhere, we had all our closest family & friends right beside us. So many people helped out where they could, the cake I had made from cake inspiration by Adele was beautiful and tasted even better!" Kylie says.
What does marriage mean to you? This is a hard one because it means so much to us but can’t seem to put it into words, its spending the rest of your lives together starting a family, marring your best friend love of your life where you can grow together, and always have each other’s back, supporting and pushing each other to follow their dreams.
What advice would you offer other couples planning on a wedding? Try not to stress to much about it all, everything will work out in the end one way or another. You are there to marry your soul mate and that’s all that really matters. Regardless of what people say its your special day so do what makes you happy.
