"For us, marriage means a deeper commitment and a different level of respect. Not many things ‘change’ as such but there is a different feeling and respect you have for each other once you’re married."
Hannah & Kane met at Railway Stakes day in 2013. "I was with some girlfriends and Kane was with some of his friends & by the end of the day our paths crossed and we exchanged numbers. We didn’t go on our first date until the following year though, a couple of months after we met." Hannah tells.
Together for two and half years, Kane proposed in the comfort of their own home, which was just perfect! After the proposal and after they had spoken to their family and friends, the two lovebirds went for dinner at their favourite restaurant in East Fremantle to celebrate just the two of them!
"We wanted a classic wedding theme, that would stand the test of time so in years to come we could look back and still love everything about it. Plus, with the venue being so spectacular, there wasn’t much that we need to add.
One thing we learned, even though someone has RSVP’d doesn’t mean they will necessarily show up. One of our friends managed to miss their flight from Sydney to Perth. Classic behaviour if you know this person." Hannah tells. "We always wanted a venue that was outdoors and somewhere we could hold the ceremony and reception, to save guests the hassle of going to two venues. If you have ever been to the Quarry before, you would understand the magic of this place. Nestled in City beach, 20 minutes for the city centre, but you just feel as if you are in your own little paradise. We instantly fell in love.

ADVICE
"Don’t sweat the small stuff and don’t let it consume you. Enjoy the process because it goes really quickly. I absolutely loved the wedding planning process. I’m trying to convince Kane to celebrate our anniversary every year, but he isn’t buying it"
Starting the day with my bridesmaids and mum was really special. My sister and MOH ran us through a yoga session which really set the tone for the day. Seeing Kane at the end of the aisle is something I will never forget. I was so nervous but the minute I saw him those nerves melted away and it really felt as if it was just him and I. I loved our ceremony. It was really focused around us and our story and had some personal touches in it. We got lucky with all our suppliers, we had a really good team around us. The food and service by Ultimo’s was just incredible and we also had an oyster shucker which again was such a hit with all our guests.
I also loved our florals by the Flower Hound in South Fremantle, they went so well with the furniture we chose from Hire Society and I still have the pampas grass from the wedding in our house which is always a lovely reminder of our day. Our Photographer Zach Taylor and our videographer Ryan Chatfield were incredible in the lead up and on the day. They both slotted so nicely into the day, capturing EVERYTHING!
Getting our photos and video back was so special and brought us back to each moment of the day.
