Stephanie and Zach were up north in Coral Bay and went for a walk on the beach at sunset one evening where Zach got down on one knee and asked Stephanie to spend the rest of her life with him. "Couldn’t have been more perfect." Steph says.

"We met on the September long weekend back in 2013 at a Sunday session at the infamous Botanica Bar and Bistro. Together for 3 and half years before becoming engaged, we chose Old Broadwater Farm because we loved the rustic, country, relaxed vibe and wanted a venue that portrayed just that. The grounds of Old Broadwater Farm are spectacular, and the marquee onsite was perfect for what we wanted. We couldn’t have asked for a more perfect setting. As soon as we saw the venue, we fell in love.

 

Zach grew up on a family farm and we love the whole vibe and calmness when we visit. We originally wanted to have our wedding at his parents’ farm to really capture the feel. We wanted relaxed, rustic, yet traditional. We utilized greenery from the farm and feel, less is more when you have the perfect venue and setting…" The couple tell.

FAVOURITE MOMENT
Marrying the love of our lives. Just the whole day was our favourite...being able to celebrate with our nearest and dearest. It couldn’t have been more perfect.

FAVOURITE DETAIL
Favourite details would be the flowers, which my mum created. She did the bridesmaids and my bouquet as well as the boys buttonholes, table and marquee arrangements, ceremony/aisle arrangements and cake arrangement. Stationery and table settings were classic black and white with long wooden tables and Bentwood chairs.

What resources did you find helped you the most during your Wedding planning?
My beautiful friend Amy @AmyMolloyWeddingPlanner helped me immensely with ensuring all bases were covered. She was the most valuable resource as mum and I were doing a lot of the details ourselves. Old Broadwater Farm were also amazing as they have onsite Event Planners which also ensure all bases are covered and couldn’t be more helpful or accommodating. They were present on the day and ensured that we did not have to worry or stress about anything.

What does marriage mean to you?
Marriage means trusting, giving, supporting one another. It is going through life side by side with your best friend. It is always having someone to talk to, laugh with, confide in, and work together with.

ADVICE
Explore all your options and choose the perfect venue and setting for you. Ensure you feel relaxed and comfortable when dealing with your vendors. You do not want to have any added stress leading up to or on the day of your wedding.

Daniel Njegich our photographer captured every moment so perfectly. We could not have asked for more with or from Daniel. He went above and beyond to ensure our whole day and night was captured perfectly and was so accommodating to every single persons’ needs. Daniel was pleasant from the moment he arrived at midday until the moment he finished up at 10pm.
