As the creative director of Ivy & Bleu Events, Mandi is regularly asked what would her own wedding would look like - So when it was suggested for her to put her face in front of the camera Mandi thought why not take the opportunity to show everyone what her own day would look like were it to come around again! "Having been happily married for 11 years, I doubt thats going to actually happen anytime soon" Mandi tells.

Highlights: Having my sisters & cousin who were able to be there and model alongside me for the shoot was just the bees knees - it made me so much more comfortable and relaxed.

When choosing a photographer whether for a shoot or for a clients’ wedding, we really take into consideration the best photographer to mesh with the model or couple and for me I could only have been so lucky to have had Kaitlin Maree Photography.

Not only do we love her soft romantic shooting style but her relaxed personality and words of encouragement made it so much easier for me not being used to being in front of a camera. Honestly the whole day was so much fun. Also having my amazing team completely taking care of the setup and floral process so I could just relax was a breath of fresh air.

Did you face any challenges on the day? The wind……. You really can never predict the weather and its all about working with what you’ve got! Poor Jess from Fox’s Lane Styling was consistently battling hair touchups for the outside photos but we just ended up rolling with it as you have to and worked with those windswept photos.

What led you to decide on this venue? Ancora would 100% be on my top venue selection list of where I would want to be getting married. Not only do we love the mastermind team behind this new venue but its light airy reception space, amazing styling inclusions & waterfront location made our venue selection for this shoot easy as pie!

What was your favourite detail about the shoot day? Honestly everything about it! Our head florist here at Ivy & Bleu @simonedaily creating my very own stunning floral bouquet, popping bottles of ink gin (my sisters and my faaaaaavourite drink) working with my all time favourite vendor team in a shoot with my face in it - all of it was amazing! I think the best thing though, was how much I loved the sneak peeks from Kaitlin after being so, so nervous about putting my own face out there - it was just so much fun.

Favourite moment/s from the day: Having a sneaky gin with my sisters and vendor friends once we finished!
