"Who remembers the poke feature on Facebook? Mem poked me on Facebook I usually would just delete the ‘poke’ from randoms but poked him back and we got chatting met up made out and have been inseparable ever since."

Together for around 4 years,  Mem + Zerin were staying at The Palazzo Versace and after dinner went back to their room where Mem took Zerin out to the balcony where we could he'd had ‘marry me’ lit up in the sand and got down on one knee. "It’s one of my happiest memories." Zerin tells.

venue.

The Park Albert Park literally popped up on my Instagram feed and I said that will do ha-ha - I loved the high ceilings, location and view it was a blank canvas I could work with as Mem and I are not a huge fan of your typical wedding receptions.

wedding theme.

I wanted a simple yet elegant, romantic vibe. Soft tones with quality touches throughout. Less is more. My stylist @eventsbyshann and her team did an outstanding job, I was in awe when I walked in.

favourite moment.

When Mem saw me in my dress for the first impression he cried, it was such a beautiful moment between us. Walking down the aisle with both my parents meant so much to me and dancing with my dad is a moment I'll forever remember.

favourite detail.

I decided to change our tables from round to long a few weeks before our wedding I loved the way our tables ended up looking. Mem and I sat with our guest rather then sitting alone it was a great touch and vibe. I loved our set up also for our DJ and dancefloor and flowers.

 

advice.

Don’t be intimated by other people’s weddings friends / family. Stay true to yourselves. Read supplier reviews. Chase up your suppliers and remember you’re not getting married to impress a room full of people your getting married to the one you love.

standout vendors.

Being a covid bride I had to postpone and change our wedding date three times due to the pandemic/government regulations it was such a stressful time.

Events By Shann was such an amazing support I sent her a tone of emails, DMs voice memmos and text msgs she and her team nailed it. Forever grateful.
