highlights.

The unbelievably nice and hospitable vendors involved making the entire shoot a dream! The small ceremony led by Sharron (Delicate Devotions) had everyone in stitches and made for such genuine smiles and laughter! The sunset at Rivoli Farm was absolutely stunning and created the best light for bridal portraits, lighting up the surrounding rain clouds pink, yellow and orange. Also the beautifully styled conservatory in the back garden was a stunning spot for intimate bridal shots!!

challenges.

Our only issue we faced on the day was due to some unforeseen road works which delayed the starting time for brides preparations for hair and make up. Both Meghan (Meghan& Co.) and Sarah (Sarah Kay Makeup Artist) worked seamlessly well together as a team in a timely manner to complete hair and make up, with a beautifully natural yet glam result. They even made up time allowing us to take some portraits and do a first-look before going to the venue!

venue.

I envisioned the shoot to be an outdoor soiree with a rustic/boho vibe, so a rural setting was a must! I found Rivoli Farm through word of mouth via Instagram and was lucky enough to have Clint (Rivoli Farm) respond that the farm was available and he was interested in building content for his new website. The farm is gorgeous, with the homestead being just one of the several jaw dropping locations on the property. There is a lovely open grass area in front of the home shaded by a big oak tree which was perfect for our ceremony set up.

There are several options for bridal portraits; open grassy paddocks with horses roaming, a rustic windmill set up to provide a statement piece in the background whilst catching one of the notorious sun sets. However the conservatory located in the side garden was the cherry on top of this already epic wedding venue for bridal portraits! The small garden house is adorned with pots, plants and has been tastefully decorated with an array of gardening paraphernalia to create the most perfect intimate setting for newly weds to enjoy a sweet moment together before heading back to the party.

favourite detail.
I was absolutely obsessed with the reception styling set up by Jo (DD Event Hire). The festoon lights draped above the table paired with the simple rustic set up created the perfect atmosphere and lighting for the evening. The cake and grazing platter set up on the table truly completed the scene!

favourite moment.
My favourite moment was our first look we did for the big reveal to elicit some genuine motions (sadly no tears haha!). Preparations were completed in Allora at Wild Sage Collective and we were able to keep our real life couple separate to keep an element of surprise. Whilst hair and make up for the bride was being completed the groom enjoyed a beer upstairs and a few portrait shots after suiting up. We then walked our groom down the road to a sweet little rustic building with the anticipation building where our bride joined ensuring these two lovers could share a quiet moment together. Another favourite was taking photos in that stunning conservatory!
