Nicole, owner of Final Touch Bridal felt so inspired by her new boutique space when she moved her shop to Long Jetty. The high ceilings and brick walls made her think it was perfect for a ballet inspired shoot.

highlights: The whole bridal shoot was so much fun! We all had so much fun just watching the model bend and pose in those beautiful gowns. It was so fun collaborating with a bunch of excited vendors to create something so dreamy.

challenges: Working out how to photograph a leaping ‘bride’ within that space was a little difficult. It was also rather tricky for the model to leap in those big gowns. Some shots required assistance from other people in the room.

what led you to decide on this shoot location: The venue was the inspiration for the shoot so it was always in the mind of the creator to use so that was probably one of the easier decisions. Florals, picnic setups and other details all came together as we went. I had hoped we would get to go out into the alleyway for some outdoor shots but a massive thunderstorm shut that idea down! The shoot was honestly so fun that even small hurdles made way for alternate ideas. It was a creative shoot based on movement and beauty.

favourite detail: I loved the sleeves on the first gown, they were so elegant and dainty + photographed beautifully. There was also a dark corner that was so moody and cool to work with.

favourite moment: Throughout the shoot there was a lot of excitement. We are all local Central Coast vendors and I think we all felt quite lucky to be part of this unique concept, so the excitement was part of the joy of the experience. Each new wardrobe change brought a new level of happiness and we all just enjoyed working together so much.
