A feminine shoot showcasing extremely talented Gold Coast wedding vendors creating the magic behind the images you always see on social media. "We wanted our vendors to be the focus, so for this reason, you will see Tanya from Sugared Style and myself - Leesha from Little Green Leaf stationery as the models for this shoot." Leesha tells.

"We wanted bright florals and feminine colours throughout this shoot, which is well and truly reflected in the gorgeous images by Camilla Kirk Photography. We chose bright lips and flowy dresses to go with all those gorgeous Sugared Style florals. The signage I designed for this shoot has beautiful soft edges and arches, which is very on trend at the moment. They feature empowering quotes, to remind women how strong we all are when we choose collaboration over competition."

challenges: The day ran so smoothly, which was such a breath of fresh air! All the ladies that were there on the day had so much fun! We ate, and danced along to music, while creating pure creative magic, which really shines through in the images!
what led you to decide on The Joinery? We chose The Joinery at West End in Brisbane for our venue, mainly for the stunning industrial look it offered. It was such a blank canvas for the style and feel we wanted, and the amazing open spaces of the venue allowed us to create something truly magical!

favourite detail: All the wonderful chosen vendors on board, for sure! All the vendors were carefully chosen for this shoot, as we felt they best represented the look and feel we were trying to achieve. Every single vendor that was involved absolutely went above and beyond and smashed it out of the park to bring this shoot to life.
Tanya created so many gorgeous spaces with her floral designs, using a gorgeous mix of both dried florals and fresh roses, featuring so many stunning shades of pinks and reds, which were the main colour focus of the shoot.

I (Leesha from Little Green Leaf) really thought outside the box for the stationery side of this shoot. As this wasn’t a typical bridal shoot, I was really trying to create more of an Event suite, rather than a Wedding Suite. I wanted to create lots of colourful pieces, mixed with a great range of shapes, to create so many different and stunning flat lay shots. The signage I chose to design was created purely to empower women and reflect our friendship.
Camilla from Camilla Kirk Photography absolutely brought the whole image to life! Her images have well and truly made this shoot shine, and we absolutely could not have been happier that she chose to be on board! Camilla was so excited to shoot this, as it was different to what everyone is creating at the moment!

The Joinery at West End in Brisbane we chose for our venue, mainly for the stunning industrial look it offered. It was such a blank canvas for the style and feel we wanted, and the amazing open spaces of the venue allowed us to create something truly magical!
Bexi, our makeup artist well and truly worked her magic to make us look as stunning as ever, along with Demi from Ms Francis Hair, who made my hair the best it’s ever looked!
We chose to highlight a couple of Bridal boutiques for our dresses. Tanya wore a stunning strapless dress from Ella Moda and Leesha wore an elegant sleeved gown from Pearl Bridal. Both highlighted our personalities perfectly!

Ekaterina from Ekats Desserts made so many stunning cakes for this shoot. We opted to have a few smaller cakes rather than one large one, as this is different from typical bridal shoots. We gave her a basic brief on what we were hoping to get from her, including some basic colours and themes, and what she created from that information was nothing short of spectacular!
AV Ideas supplied all the wonderful furniture we used for this shoot! They brought together a beautiful blush pink Couch, mixed with a stunning black wired coffee table, on which we displayed stunning florals and those gorgeous desserts.

We had a few other vendors involved that well and truly brought this shoot together, including The Whole Bride who supplied all the lovely silk ribbons for the stunning Stationery Flat Lay shots, The Little Pack Of Five who custom made Tanya’s gorgeous Crown, Ayla & Oak who supplied our stunning earrings, Coloured Smoke who supplied our Smoke Bombs and Bio Confetti who supplied the gorgeous white confetti we used.
favourite moments: Seeing everyone come together, have fun and really showing that this whole industry is about Collaboration, not Competition!
