"It was really important for me to use a real couple for this shoot. It’s always so much nicer and more relaxed. What makes our couple special is that they are actually engaged to be married in about 2 weeks time! They had lots of practice posing for photos so when their wedding comes along, they will know all of the right angles!" Jac from Moore Celebrations (your unofficial bridesmaid) shares.

challenges: Setting up took a little longer but we ran mostly to time. My event management background assisted greatly with keeping everyone on track. That and coffee certainly helped!

what led you to decide on The Matriarch? The theme Modern needed to be sophisticated with playful and bright undertones. Since The Matriarch had bright pops of colour throughout, I leant on monochrome styling and touches. The venue really did create the WOW factor. Incorporating the Audrey Hepburn aspect worked so well at the Matriarch too. This venue specialises in serving high tea and cocktails, which paid homage to ‘Breakfast at Tiffany’s’. It was sophisticated without being pretentious and still a bit playful.

favourite detail: In the planning stages I thought the wishing well disco ball was going to be my favourite little detail (made by yours truly!) but I was unprepared for how much I would adore the grooms floral canes by Loreta from Wonderful Bunch - They were amazing!

favourite moment: After working on something for a while and really investing your time and passion into planning a styled shoot, it’s always so amazing to watch everything come together. It was a long shoot day (about 12 hours). I was setting up all of the indoor tables and styling items myself so things were pretty hectic! I honestly really loved sitting down to have Khesanh from The Beauty Case do my makeup. It gave me the chance to just relax and take a minute before going into full shoot mode and getting my ‘Celebrant’ game face on. This along with Andy’s face from Evernew Photography when he knew he was getting good lighting - priceless! He was one of the first suppliers I reached out to as I knew he would capture the essence of the shoot perfectly.
