The idea behind this stunning bohemian styled shoot was running away to elope, just you and your lover. Doing it your way, with only the waves and the dunes bearing witness to the uniqueness that is true love. It’s windswept hair, crinkled eyes and barefoot in the sand. It’s an unedited, raw version of your affection – unpolished perfection. It’s that powerful, all-consuming love that is so rare to find – finding and marrying your best friend, your other half, the soul to your mate. It’s the warmth of the sun kissing your skin as you say your vows, with words that run like the river from your mouth - Laity of Jypsea shares.

highlights: Simply put, the entire magic created on the day. Whilst it wasn’t a real wedding, the love and genuine connection between our ‘bride & groom’ Caitlyn & Liam was phenomenal. They’re clearly very much in love, with the love and energy showing in every shot we took of them.

challenges: The wind was our biggest challenge – between blowing up in our faces, to blowing away the flowers and causing havoc with our rugs. But we rolled with it, and I’m so glad, because it’s not even noticeable in the photos how much of a challenge it was.

what led you to decide on this shoot location? We wanted somewhere unique, coastal and where Milton (our Kombi) could drive. We toyed with some south options, but Lancelin worked out to be the best by far.

favourite detail: Everything came together so perfectly – from the boho feel of the dress, to the perfectly tied colours of Milton and the flowers, to the grooms entire outfit, and all the vendors on the day – we were a fantastic team, and I think it clearly shows in what we created.

favourite moment: Sunset was pretty phenomenal. The wind dropped, the sunset painted pastels across the sky and the sand, and we were no longer vendors capturing a styled wedding, but a group of people witnessing & capturing love.
