Sant Elia offers a truly unique bridal couture experience tailored to the individual bride. "We specialise in handcrafted garments expressing a uniquely modern aesthetic. Each custom design reflects the individual style and desired look of our bride, which is then created using luxurious fabrics, intricate detailing and classic couture techniques." designer Stephanie shares.
how and when was sant elia born?
In 2014, I felt it was the right time to pursue a journey that allowed me to express my creative self. At that point I was working in fashion and sought to collaborate with clients on bespoke and meaningful looks, so it was a natural progression to establishing Sant Elia Couture.
I work closely with my brides throughout the entire process from first sketch to final look and become invested in their journey from fiancé to bride. Many times in the Atelier, our brides become overwhelmed with joy and get emotional about their dress. Not only are their visions, which are sometimes lifelong, coming to life but their sense of self as a woman and confidence flourish - I find this fulfils my purpose as a designer, Sant Elia is my labour of love.
I love that we are refreshing the classic a-line style. We’ve added dimension to this traditionally romantic shape with textured detachable sleeves. In true Sant Elia style, and for the more casual bride, we will forever love our Capri pants!
what keeps you inspired along the way?
I welcome each bride into the Atelier as my muse, she is truly my number one inspiration. I also love experimenting with textures and intricate fabrics to reimagine traditional bridal couture as an art form.
