Tannum Sands wedding creatives began dreaming up a shoot from the gorgeous hairdresser of Your Hair Design & Beauty's obsession with creating detailed braids and bold flower crowns. With popular dried flowers used for a gorgeous boho vibe that led to creating something earthy, romantic and everlasting.

highlights: Seeing everything we had been planning come together so perfectly. From the beautiful hair and makeup, to the perfectly positioned décor and the floral masterpieces – magic was about to happen.

what led you to this shoot location? We wanted to create a moody boho vibe with our shoot. Something that gave us a few background options to work with. To us boho is nature – long grass, water, relaxed and romantic. We wanted to move away from the beaches and enhance our dried florals even more. Riverside with the sun setting was the perfect location for our concept.

did you face any challenges on the day? With COVID-19 being the current challenge for brides + grooms of 2020 it also became a challenge for us with our shoot. With only a days notice, our planned location was no longer an option. As it was a popular free camping spot, our local Council had decided to shut the river location 2 hours prior to our planned shoot time. We had 24 hours to find a new location. We wanted long grass, and hints of water for our shoot so we really wanted to stick with a river location. With a little local knowledge paired with a 4wd and a trailer full of décor, our team tackled dirt roads and steep tracks to create a magical riverside boho masterpiece.

favourite moment: Our models, Jessia & Spencer creating the perfect vibe. Having never met before, we were all completely in awe, witnessing two complete strangers, connecting effortlessly throughout the shoot.
