mornington peninsular wedding cakes melbourne cake designer
The Butchers Daughters Cakes is with the couple every step of the way! Meet Mornington Peninsular based wedding cake designer, Hannah with an impressive selection of flavours to help create a bespoke design, that is the couples dream wedding cake. (Which is also certain to be eaten and enjoyed by all the guests on the day.) "This should be a piece of cake." says Hannah.

How and when was the butchers daughters cakes born? In 2014 I had taken on what I thought was going to be an “amazing” new opportunity in my Patisserie career. A year later this thought was proven wrong and while searching for new job opportunities but struggling to find something I could showcase my true passion of cakes, so in 2015 using my Dads (The Butcher) entrepreneur passion as inspiration, TBDC was born.
Do you have any stories that you would like to share from your experiences? Not many people know this, but I once had a car accident while delivering a wedding cake. Luckily the cake was completely fine and in the seventh hour while having my car towed and a family member pick me & the cake up. I managed to get the cake safely to the venue with 5 minutes spare. So these days I proudly support a “Cake on Board” sticker on my car.

Advice: I would advice any newlyweds to seek as much wedding cake inspo from places like instagram and pinterest as possible, so they can to start to get a feel for what they like. Before having a meeting with myself where we can work together to sculpt their dream cake.
2020 predictions: I’m not sure if this is a prediction or rather wishful thinking, but I hope we’ll see more pink tiered cakes and potentially Rectangle cakes.

Tell us about the best part about what you do: The best part about what I do is seeing the love, happiness and enjoyment that my cakes bring to the newlyweds on their special day. It makes all the hard work worth it.
