"From the very beginning, we did not want a magnificent wedding, where there will be thousands of relatives, and there will be no time for the two of us. Somehow Bali was a honeymoon trip by itself. Without discussion, Eugene and I wanted to have our Wedding there. I had already been there once and I wanted to be on this paradise island again for my honeymoon. Eugene dreamt about waves, surf and wild exotic places where he had never been.
That's why we started to look for ceremony options there. At first, I thought about having the ceremony at the waterfall, but we could not find the right agency to make sure everything would be perfect. Then I stumbled on the website of Wed Bali and quickly realized that it was exactly what I was looking for. Only it was no longer a ceremony at the waterfall, but a completely different format - an evening ceremony. I fell in love with the idea of this kind of ceremony as soon as I saw the first photo with lights & the background of the sunset. So magical.
"The inspiration for our Wedding theme was the spot of the ceremony and of course the beautiful Balinese sunsets. A favourite moment wasn't really connected with the ceremony. It was when we were photographed on a black beach under the cliff, where we were waiting for the ceremony. We ran in our elegant attire in the ocean, ran away from the waves, in the end were almost all wet, but insanely happy.
The most memorable detail, of course, were those lanterns and lights, in which I fell in love with in Moscow through the photos. Marriage is the support and care for each other and advice we would offer other couples planning to elope in Bali is to wear light outfits to make it comfortable to run, choose the dry season in Bali from May to October, find your wedding planner and trust him 100%.
Although we spent the whole day together before the ceremony,
but the moment when Eugene was standing at the arch, and I slowly walked to
him, was still one of the most exciting in my life.
We'd like to give a special mention to our stylist, Valeria fromBali Moon Wedding for recreating what I wanted to see. Also our photographer, Alexander, who picked our two locations for the photo shoot - a chocolate factory and a black beach. I want to thank him for that direct stop, for the fact that he helped us to feel comfortable in front of the camera and for the fact that the photos turned out to be just like this, sunny, warm and filled with love for each other and the island of Bali.
And of course Alice from Wed Bali, without her, there wouldn't be all this magic.
